Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Huely collects, why, the legal bases we rely on, and the rights you have. It applies to our website and the online colour tool.

01Who is responsible for your data

Huely is a product operated by M60 PAINTING CONTRACTORS LTD("we", "us"), the data controller for the personal data described here. Our registered office is 82a East Kilbride Road Clarkston, G76 8JE, Scotland, United Kingdom.

For any privacy question or request, contact us at support@m60paicon.shop or +44 7720908894.

02What we collect

  • Account & subscription data: name, email, plan and billing status.
  • Tool inputs (user input): the user input you provide — the text briefs you write describing rooms and moods, and any room or facade photo you choose to upload.
  • Generated results: the colour plans, palettes, preview images and reveal outputs Huely creates for you.
  • Support data: messages, colour briefs and enquiries you send us through our forms, email or phone.
  • Payment metadata: partial card details, billing country and transaction identifiers returned by our payment processor. We never receive or store your full card number.
  • Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, and basic usage events needed to run and secure the service.

03Where the data comes from (collection sources)

Our personal-data collection sources are: (1) information you provide directly — your account details, your user input to the tool (text briefs and any room or facade photo you upload), subscription choices and support messages; (2) our payment processor, which returns payment metadata; and (3) automatic collection by our hosting and security infrastructure (technical data) when you use the site.

We do not buy personal data from data brokers or acquire it from other third-party collection sources.

04Why we use it and our legal bases

  • To provide the tool — generate colour plans, previews and exports (performance of a contract).
  • To take payment and manage subscriptions (performance of a contract; legal obligation for tax and accounting).
  • To provide support and respond to your enquiries (legitimate interests; performance of a contract).
  • To secure and improve the service, prevent abuse and debug issues (legitimate interests).
  • Analytics and essential cookies (consent where required; legitimate interests for strictly necessary cookies).

05Your tool inputs, uploads and results

Your user input — the text briefs and any uploaded photos — is sent to our third-party AI provider solely to generate your colour plan, preview and reveal outputs, and to let you revisit recent work. Uploaded photos are cached for up to 30 days and then deleted; generated results are kept while your account is active and deleted on account closure. You can ask us to delete your inputs or results sooner.

We do not use your inputs, uploads or generated results to train AI models. We do not sell them and we do not publish them.

06Payment provider boundary

Payments are handled by our third-party payment processor (Stripe). Card details are entered on their secure, PCI-DSS-compliant checkout — Huely never sees or stores your full card number. We receive only a payment result and limited metadata (such as the last four digits, card brand, billing country and a transaction reference) needed to manage your subscription and meet our accounting obligations.

07Who we share it with

  • Hosting & infrastructure: our cloud hosting and deployment provider.
  • Payments: Stripe, for checkout, subscriptions and billing.
  • Database & storage: our managed database and file-storage provider, for accounts, enquiries and cached uploads.
  • Email: our transactional email provider, for receipts and support replies.
  • AI provider (image/video generation): the third-party AI provider that renders your previews and reveal outputs from your user input. Your input and generated results are sent to the AI provider only to produce your output; the AI provider does not use them to train its models.
  • Professional advisers and authorities where required by law.

08International transfers

Some processors may store or process data outside the UK/EEA. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK/EU adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses to keep your data protected to UK and EU standards.

09How long we keep it

  • Account and subscription records: for the life of your account and up to 6 years afterwards for tax and accounting.
  • Uploaded photos: cached up to 30 days, then deleted.
  • Generated colour plans: retained while your account is active so you can revisit them; deleted on account closure.
  • Support messages: typically up to 24 months.

10Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and reputable processors. Secret payment keys are held server-side only and are never exposed to the browser. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data and to notify you and regulators of a breach where the law requires.

11Your rights (UK GDPR, EU GDPR & CCPA)

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access a copy of your personal data.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Restrict or object to certain processing.
  • Data portability.
  • Withdraw consent at any time.
  • For California residents: know, delete, correct, and opt out of "sale" or "sharing".

To exercise any right, email support@m60paicon.shop. We respond within the timeframes required by law.

12Do Not Sell or Share

We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. If this ever changes we will update this policy and provide a clear opt-out.

13Cookies & analytics

We use strictly necessary cookies to run the site and, where you consent, limited analytics to understand usage. See our Cookie Policy for details and choices.

14Automated decisions & children

Huely generates colour suggestions algorithmically, but these are creative recommendations, not decisions with legal or similarly significant effects, and you remain in control. The service is not for children under 13. Users aged 13–17 must have permission from a parent or guardian.

15Complaints & contact

Contact us first at support@m60paicon.shopand we will try to resolve your concern. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
